If you discover - whether by logging into the Control Panel or through an API/SMTP error message - that your account has been disabled, it's very likely that the account will need to go through our business verification process to re-enable the account.
Business verification helps us to better understand our customers' business and email needs while also protecting them from spam and other malicious activity.
Our automated systems evaluate a number of factors when determining whether to flag an account for further review or establish a temporary rate limit, but keep in mind that these factors may not necessarily and directly relate to your particular account and its sending practices.
The Business Verification Process
Login To Your Mailgun Control Panel
When you login to your Mailgun Control Panel (using this link), you will see a red banner at the top of the page reflecting the text: "Your account is temporarily (disabled/rate limited). Please click here to complete a business verification form." Below is an image that demonstrates the banner.
Selecting the click here link within the banner will begin the business verification process.
Enter the Requested Information Into The Forms
This is the part where we get to learn a little more about you! You'll encounter two forms total during the business verification process. As a note, there may be an additional question or two that appears based on the details provided.
Once all the details are entered, at the bottom of the second form will be a checkbox that must be checked and a green "Submit" button.
Monitor The Newly Created Support Ticket For A Decision From Our Team
Once the form is completed and submitted, a confirmation page will display with a green button towards the bottom to "Follow my request". This button will automatically navigate you to the Support page within the Control Panel and will display the ticket created for the business verification request. The confirmation page will also provide an expectation of how long it may take for the decision to be reached and communicated to you. Our goal is to complete this process as quickly as possible!
