Overview
Through the centralized Alerts UI you are able to configure alerts based on core sending metrics as well as configure notifications settings for the Mailgun Optimize and Mailgun Validate products.
Important Note:
Please be aware that Alerts are configured by region (Mailgun US or Mailgun EU). Alerts can operate on both regions concurrently, but for each region, you will need to perform the steps configuring notification channels and setting up alerts.
Configuring Channel Settings for Alerts
To configure Mailgun send alerts, navigate to the Alerts option in Mailgun and start configuration by setting up your notification channels.
We'll show you how to do this below:
- First, log in to the Mailgun Control Panel (if you have not already done so).
- Then, at the top-right corner of the page, click the Profile drop-down menu to expand its list of options.
- Next, click the Alerts option. Alternatively, you can use this direct link.
-
Click the Channel Settings button on the following page. This will open the notification channel settings slide-out menu to set up your channels. Available channel include email, Slack, and webhook. Accounts have the option to define all 3 channels.
Configuring Send Alerts
Once channel settings are configured, you can move to create your first send alert. As part of alert set-up you can choose which notification channel the alert will use.
- Click the Setup Alert button on the Alerts page to open the alert slide-out menu. From this menu you will name your alert, define the metric for monitoring, the notification channels to be used, the conditions of the monitor, and filtering. Note that you can set a max of 10 filters per alert.
Configuring Notification Settings for Mailgun Optimize and Mailgun Validate
The Alerts page also centralizes the configurable notification settings for both Optimize and Validate. For accounts with relevant product access you can use a single page to set you notification settings.
