Overview
All Mailgun subscription plans include a certain number of messages each month. Nonetheless, you may be wondering what happens when you send more messages than your subscription (or plan) allocates during a given month.
The pricing in the table below describes the costs for any excess messages (or overages, to use a different term) sent during a given month. Each US Dollar ($) amount is the cost per 1,000 emails sent based on your sending volume tier, i.e. how many messages your account has sent so far during the month.
Per 1,000 messages | Plan: Basic | Plan: Foundation | Plan: Scale |
10,000 | $1.80 | N/A | N/A |
50,000 | $1.80 | $1.30 | N/A |
100,000 | $1.80 | $1.10 | $1.10 |
250,000 | $1.80 | $1.10 | $0.90 |
500,000 | $1.80 | $1.10 | $0.75 |
750,000 | $1.80 | $1.10 | $0.60 |
1,000,000 | $1.80 | $1.10 | $0.50 |
2,500,000 | $1.80 | $1.10 | $0.40 |
Important Note:
Your Mailgun Control Panel on the Billing and Upgrade pages are the final source of all pricing details and overages for your particular account. As such, please review the plan details, including overages, within your Control Panel.
Additional email charges will be automatically billed when your plan renews. If, however, you upgrade your plan to cover the excess emails before the end of the billing cycle, those additional emails sent will not be billed, but will be deducted from your newly updated subscription's email allocation.
Extra usage cannot be deactivated. We strongly advise you to keep an eye on your volume of sent emails to avoid any unwanted extra charges. You can monitor your usage from your account dashboard.
